Message from Gayle "Indigo":  Here's a case of a country that believed the art was its national treasure when, in fact, it actually was the stolen property of a woman who now lives in America.  She had to sue the government to get back what belonged to her, part of the diaspora, when the country in which it was painted wanted to claim it as its own.
