Director of Corporate Relations-LA
For our world-renowned Los Angeles museum client, we are seeking a
Director of Corporate Relations for the Development Department.  The
successful applicant will be responsible for securing specific project
support as well as general operating and endowment support from
corporations.  Duties include cultivating relationships with corporate
sponsors, members and prospects; soliciting corporate support through
letters, telephone calls, personal visits and written proposals;
negotiating contracts with corporate sponsors; designing a comprehensive
corporate fundraising and marketing program and implementing the program
by supervising prospect research, developing solicitation strategies and
making solicitations; supporting, managing and assisting with
solicitations by the Vice President of Development, Director of
Development, President/Director and Board of Trustees; establishing
terms of corporate partnerships in collaboration with appropriate museum
department staff and developing contract language for same; developing a
comprehensive corporate relations budget, and monitoring and approving
the use of that budget throughout the year; directly supervising the
Corporate Relations Coordinator; and other related duties.  Position
reports to the Director of Development. The ideal candidate will hold a
B.A. in a related field and have at least five years of demonstrated
success in fundraising, sales, special events and management.
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills and the ability to
work under deadlines are essential.  Excellent salary, benefits and
