Subject: Closets and Tax Laws
Dear List,
Does anyone know the details regarding 19th century property tax laws and
closets? I'm trying to substantiate the historic house tale that people did
not build closets because they were taxed as rooms. If true, can anyone
refer me to a source of the dates and details related to these laws?
Thanks for any insight that you may have!
