Darryl,

Your question in regards to the fastest way to this
wwould be to have a repographics firm do it for you. 
Specificall, these firms (I work for one and have a
smaller home business for this) are prepared to
accomplish projects by batch.  However, the batch
processing of elements should be given attention to,
it can be a brutal process if someone is unaware of
the delicate nature of the slides.  More than the
work, you will find yourself saving on other
consumables (i.e. server space, canned air, etc.).
