Gail,
I think "vintage photogrpah" can be a loose term.
Most, I would think would be fine, and I do so myslef
quite a bit. However, one must remember that vintage
also implies different formats and conditions. Large
format can be the most diffictult, older large format
scanners can shred a fragile print. I am not sure of
large format glass negatives, but standard sizes can
be used on a typical flatbed. In regards to a scan
physically damaging the chemical compostion of a
photograph, I don't know of any technical resourses.
If anyone has any, I would enjoy reading them as well.
Cheers,
Brad
