We are working on a project documenting bracero history and would like to
know if any institution has collections related to these Mexican contract
agricultural laborers of the 1940’s through the 1960’s.  We are seeking
collections of photos, clothing, tools, papers, housing or anything related
to the field workers or growers of the period.

The bracero program consisted of a series of bi-lateral agreements between
Mexico and the United States between 1942 and 1964, enabling millions of
Mexican men to come to the United States to work on short-term labor
contracts. It had a significant impact on communities in Mexico and the
U.S., on immigration, and bilateral relations, and on labor.
