The Denver Museum of Nature and Science's planetarium is planning a program
that begins with the view of earth from space and then looks at natural
disasters and global changes from both space and earth.

We are seeking information on evaluations of exhibits that deal with the
questions of what visitors know about, and what their misconceptions are
about:
--distribution of energy around the globe (eg. ocean circulation, el nino,
and the mechanisms that make energy move)
--continental drift
--glacier/water distribution
--the life cycle of mountains
--water sources
--geological causes of disasters (fire, volcanoes, hurricanes, earthquakes)
and the broader role of these in planetary dynamics
--weather and seasonal change
--climate andlong-term climate change
--human impact on earth

We are also seeking models of how other institutions have dealt with
misconceptions and the human impact in a positive empowering fashion.

If you have formal or informal studies or comments on these questions, we
would appreciate your input.

Thank you

Pat Keough Gibson
