Sarah, do you mean Stenton? http://www.stenton.org/ James Logan's house?
I dunno -- seemed too close for that not to be the connection

Subject: historical research
Hello all!
I'm looking for some assistance in researching a historical piece that was
just acquired.
The object is a marble slab that was placed by the fireplace during the
18th century. The maker was James H. Logan, a local Philadelphia figure
who built the Stetson Mansion in Germantown, PA. The object was engraved
with his signature and who it was made for, a Mrs. Slifer.
Does anyone have any suggestions about where to look or who to contact to
get more information about the people and/or the object? Google is just
bringing up too many answers.
Thanks so much!
Sarah
