I assume there is no signature or date...what is the medium of the painting? Lots of New England artists of the 19th century painted shipwrecks and their aftermath.

Subject: Determining who painted a picture
We have a picture on a safe of an old sailing ship. In the picture the mast and crows nest is floating from damage in a store. A row boat is near in rough seas. Does this picture sound familiar and or does anyone know who the artist is and title of the picture? I can forward you a jpg photo of the picture if that helps.
