Don,

I too agree with Rusty. We do provide honoraria for all the other things
you mentioned, but certainly not just for coming to the museum. The reason
we bring them out is so that they can provide something of benefit to the
students and community while they are here. At least one lecture, critique
session, slide talk, whatever is always required.

Dear Rusty (I hope you don't mind my being informal),

Thanks so much for your reply.  I'm with you, and am under pressure
from studio faculty who were used to giving honoraria and who have a
history of having been offered them from other institutions.  Having
your strong opinion is very helpful.
