Administrative Assistant 2

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the world's finest museums seeks an Administrative Assistant 2 for the Nineteenth-century, Modern, and Contemporary Art department.  The Administrative Assistant 2 is responsible for processing all acquisitions of decorative arts and for maintaining up to date records in the TMS database as well as other valuable data entry work related to the collection (exhibition history, loans, etc.), and other related duties as required.  This position is one of two members of the staff who are responsible for the day-to-day clerical/administrative functions for a busy curatorial department. 

Successful candidates must have excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and Photo Shop.  Experience with databases preferred.  Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.  Must have excellent telephone and reception manner.  Bachelor's degree required with concentration in art history preferred.
