The International Spy Museum is the only public museum
in the United States solely dedicated to espionage and
the only one in the world to provide a global
perspective on this all-but-invisible profession.  The
Museum seeks a full time Exhibitions and Programs
Associate to provide administrative and programmatic
support to Exhibitions and Programs Department staff
at the International Spy Museum.  Essential
Responsibilities: Handle logistics, set-up, and
follow-up for public programs including purchasing
supplies, photocopying materials, writing and
proof-reading materials, greeting and registering
program participants, drafting thank you notes,
sending follow-up information and materials.
Coordinate with other departments, to ensure that
programs are properly equipped.  Compile data and
perform research and analyses on programs.  Track
public program ticket sales and provide program
managers with accurate and up-to-date information.
Serve as primary contact regarding Museum programming
to Ticket Master and to other Museum department staff.
 Respond to public inquiries relating to Museum
content and events, including special exhibitions,
collections, and programs.  Assist in the writing and
production of program marketing materials.  Serve as
primary liaison to contract designers.  Facilitate
logistics of all printing and mailing of communiqués
and other materials.  Assist with program development
and teaching.  Actively participate in all department
brainstorming and planning meetings and contribute
creative ideas for programs. Draft and prepare
error-free, properly formatted correspondence,
memorandums, and reports.  Assist in preparing and
monitoring budget.  Maintain education department
databases and files.  Ensure all documents and
briefing materials are prepared prior to scheduled
meetings.  Attend meetings, prepare comprehensive
minutes in a timely manner, and monitor post-meeting
follow-up.  Administer and/or perform other
department-specific tasks to ensure effective and
efficient operations. Minimum Education Required:
College degree in museum education, museum studies,
administration, or related field preferred.  Minimum
Experience Required: Three years education or
administrative experience, preferably in a Museum. 
Proficient in Word, Excel, Access, MS Office software,
desk-top publishing, email, and Internet. Skills and
Attributes: Excellent oral and written communication
skills, Strong planning and organizational skills,
Strong analytic skills, Excellent grammar and
proofreading skills, Excellent follow-up skills,
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, Ability to
work with multiple projects, priorities, and
deadlines, Proven ability to work collaboratively with
others

Good problem solving and creative thinking skills,
Ability to exercise sound judgment, Ability to make
timely decisions, Strong customer-service orientation
