I, too, feel the sadness in the passing of Stephen Weil.  When I was doing my
thesis for my Masters, I talked with him about some ideas I had.  He was 
very helpful.  His articles and books were an inspiration and full of great 
knowledge to me for getting my feet wet in the field of Museology.  He will
be missed.
