I had several buffalo robes at a museum in Kansas. You really should build a
wooden or plex platform to support it and hang it at a slight angle out from
the wall. This will also allow you to insert some small support points on
the platform. LOL!

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Buffalo Hide Painting

Hi All,

I need your help again. We have been charged with trying to find a way to
hang a modern Buffalo Hide Painting with hair vertically on a wall. This is
not a museum piece but a piece belonging to the Governor's mansion. The
museum staff is at a loss as how to hang such a heavy piece vertically and
wonder if it is possible. Have any of you out there had any experience in
this? Do you know of a company that perhaps we could recommend to come in
and either hang the piece or build a special case for it?

As always they want this done yesterday.

Thanks for any advice.
