I was under the impression that the CCO is still in draft form.  Has a final
version been adopted?

This is one of those situations when a content standard for cataloging
comes in handy. According to the new content standard for museums,
"Cataloguing Cultural Objects: A Guide to Describing Cultural Works and
their Images," the form "ca." is recommended.
