For Juvenile Fiction, who can forget the wonderful "From The Mixed-Up Files
of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler". It takes place at the Met and is about 2
children who run away and decide to live there for a while. It was one of my
favorites. Also, "Linnea in Monet's Garden" I can't remember if it has an
actual museum in it, but the little girl meets Monet, and the illustrations
are stunning.
