What I have in my database are fields named
"Title": as given by the artist, or something like 'Vase' or 'Chair' if
unknown;
(Objects titled 'untitled' by the artist remain 'untitled'.)

and "Description": which gives a descriptive phrase along with other
information.
This seems like your object name info. Do you have a similar field you
could add to?

Hope this helps you.

Best,

Subject: Distinguishing between official names and created names

Hello Everyone:

In my database, I have objects which have official names created by the
artist but I also have names created for the object such as "tall vase
with green leaves." I want to combine "object name" with "title" thus
getting rid of the "object name" category in my database. My question
is how do you recommend that I distinguish between a official name and a
created name in the database so the viewer won't think that "tall vase
with green leaves" is what the artist named it?

Thank you
