Deb,

I used to get between 300 and 400 spam messages per day and found
myself wasting at least one hour every morning getting "bug-eyed", just
trying to make sure not to delete a valid piece of correspondence. It
became intolerable and a gigantic waste of time; 10% of my working time
every day was spent unproductively! I'm self employed and can't afford
that!!

I "test-drove" a number of spam filters and found, what I think is the
best filter out there. You can train it to do whatever you want, even
block addresses from whom you don't want to receive mail.

Initially I set it to quarantine messages it considered spam. (Some
messages with a large number of recipients could be considered thus.)
But after a month or so, I was able to identify the senders from whom I
wanted to receive mail, but whom the filter considered to be spam. I
simply put those senders onto a "permit" list and eventually I was
brave enough to set the filter to bounce back all messages it considers
spam automatically. It's been working like that for over a year now and
zero complaints!

I don't really understand how it does it, but it's amazing! I became
it's best booster and recommend it to everyone I know. It's cheap and a
tremendous time saver. Check it out at:
