Hello,

In our continuing quest to find the perfect pen for marking objects we have
discovered (alright! alright! some of you already knew!) the Permaopaque
pen. We first discovered them in the 2005 Gaylord catalog, page 264, and
ordered the 4 color (red, blue, green, black) set. Since we wanted
additional colors we located www.islandblue.com and discovered the many
other colors available. To make a long story short, they've worked on
every type of material and the ink doesn't smear using B72. The only
problem we've found is they don't make a superfine point (their smallest is
a fine point = 1.0mm). They also make broader points, but we have no need
for them. Anyway, my point is that if you need a great pen for marking
artifacts, we believe you'd be hard pressed to find better than the
Permaopaque.

Tim
