Dear Colleagues,
We have an upcoming exhibit of our historic collection of Native American
basketry. Our exhibit designer would like to display the baskets on a bed
of sand. If we use good clean sand, the only downside I can think of is
the abrasiveness of the sand on the basket fibers. If we don't grind the
fibers into the sand, gently place them on it, and carefully vacuum them
post-exhibit, is there anything else wrong with this picture?
As always, thank you for any insight into this matter.
Sincerely,
David Ryan
