Director of Corporate Relations
(a full-time exempt position)


The Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum, Chicago, IL, seeks an
experienced development professional.  This position reports to the Vice
President for External Affairs.

Experience:  Progressive experience in securing corporate sponsorships and
contributions from Chicago area as well as national corporations. 
Demonstrated expertise interacting with executive level volunteers and
corporate representatives is required.  Knowledge of corporate sponsorship
and philanthropy is essential as well as an understanding of corporate
prospect research.  A track record of, or aptitude for, achieving
financial goals is essential.  Strong oral and written communications
skills, as well as team building, presentation and organizational skills,
are required.  Computer literacy (word processing) is imperative and
experience with a development records database is preferred.

Education:  A Bachelor’s degree is required.  An advanced degree is
preferred.
