Hello Laura,

I'm with the University of Richmond Museums in Virginia. This spring we opened an on-line exhibition of internet art titled "hypertemporality."
http://oncampus.richmond.edu/cultural/museums/hypertemporality/index.html

The exhibition was proposed the year before by a graduate student, who then chose the artists and artwork, designed the website, wrote an on-line essay, applied for and received university funds for the project, and organized several public programs. The essay was the culmination of an independent study on the aesthetics of internet art, which he completed the semester before. The public programs included a panel discussion on internet art (which he moderated), a lecture, and several talks to studio and art history classes. A webcast of the panel is available for viewing on the website.

This might be a bit different than what you were thinking of in terms of examples, but feel free to contact me off-line if you'd like to find out more about the project.

Best, Elizabeth
