You also could think of it as a way to show appreciation for your
volunteers, to provide a reverential farewell and even to talk about the
lives of your volunteers.  You could even do some sort of regular
profile on volunteers- living or dead!

am curious why you would be opposed to doing it?  as for folks being
upset
it wasn't done for others, why not simply preface it by saying,
volunteers
are important and we'd like to now use this venue to recognize them...

Subject: Volunteer Deaths


We have had several volunteers pass away in the past year.  Several
people
want to do an "obits" section in our museum membership magazine.  This
magazine is mailed out to all of the members of the museum.  I am
opposed
to doing this in our Membership Magazine.  I am also worried that some
folks will be upset that we did not do this for their loved ones when
they
passed away.  Is there anyone that has faced this situation in the past
that can offer some advice?
