There are a lot of possible reasons, all centering on differences in how 
various email client programs display things.  Some email clients really 
make the user work to get to the actual address.  As an example:  If you 
look at the top line of this reply, you will see that my email client 
(Eudora)  says "You wrote", rather than "[log in to unmask] wrote":.  My 
in-box lists the sender as "David Haberstich", not 
"[log in to unmask]".  To get to your actual address, I had to actually 
open the message, rather than just viewing it in the preview window.  I 
have encountered cases from time to time where I had to go further and 
command the program to show me **all** of the headers (not just the basic 
ones) before I could get to the sender's address.
