Stacy,

With no intent to sound flippant....The best way to get tape off paper
objects is with a paper conservator. Never attempt such a thing on any
museum objects you want to keep in good condition. It is incredibly easy to
damage them, and baseball cards tend to have very fragile surfaces.

I know I just sent a question, but here is another.
The personal friend of the baseball player gave a nine baseball cards of
this deceased professional player.  HOwever, they are all scotch taped to
cardboard and framed.  I can remove the cards from the cardboard, but how I
remove the tape from the cards without taking any part of the card off?
They have been taped for quite sometime.
