*****Hurricane Preparedness: Surviving the Big One*****
This workshop is scheduled for Thursday, September 23, 2004 at Regent
University Library, Virginia Beach, VA from 9 am - 4 pm.
Learn about steps that can be taken before a storm hits that can
increase an institution's chances for minimizing damage. This one day
workshop focuses on: the nature of hurricanes; general issues in
developing a disaster plan; making your institution storm-proof;
activities before, during, and after the storm; and sources of
assistance. Instructor for this session is Dr. Michael Trinkley,
Director of Chicora Foundation.
Cost for $115 SOLINET members, all membership categories, ($105 early
bird, $135 late registration); $165 Non-SOLINET members ($155 early
bird, $185 late registration). Any institution within Virginia qualifies
for the member rate.
