Kirk,

I'd suggest using Tyvek. It is lightweight, non-acidic, and provides a
barrier to liquid moisture but allows atmospheric moisture in air to circulate. The
advantage of this is that you will not get the microclimate and potential
condensation that would come from regular plastic sheeting. It will provide a good
barrier to dust as it does not have the woven structure of muslin or other
fabrics that allow fine dust to migrate through to the object.

We are using a huge tent made from Tyvek to protect a full-scale model /
simulator of the NASA space shuttle that is in storage out here.
