ASSISTANT COORDINATOR OF VISITOR SERVICES
The Metropolitan Museum of Art seeks an Assistant Coordinator for Visitor Services at The Cloisters. The Assistant Coordinator is a supervisory position responsible for all administrative duties in the department, which includes admissions, cashier office operation, Audio Guide program operation, membership sales, and all information operations. The position is also responsible for all clerical duties including inventory and ordering of all supplies. The ideal candidate must have experience working with cash operations, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and enjoy interacting with the public. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required. Knowledge in the fields of medieval history, art history or New York City tourism is preferred. Knowledge in French or German is a plus.
