ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT 2

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the world's finest museums, seeks an Administrative Assistant for the Communications Department.  The Administrative Assistant handles support work for the executive assistant to one of the Museum's vice presidents; phone calls, including extensive channeling and handling of general press calls; assisting journalists at press previews and other press events; and some oversight of film crews working in the building.  The Administrative Assistant will also process all of the Communications Department's expense paperwork, including billing.  A portion of this position will also support the work for the Manager of Advertising and Marketing.  The ideal candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Strong organizational skills and knowledge of general office experience is required.  Ability to handle deadline pressure is essential.  Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.  B.A. degree is required.  Concentration in studies on art, art history, and or journalism is preferred.
