Hey,
And if nothing else works take the crummy job that you are way over
qualified for, at the institution you want to work for. I know this
isn't exactly a great STRATEGY per se, but I know quite a few people at
museums who started off on the floor of the museum moving stanchions
around who found themselves worked into a true museum profession in a
short number of years. Just immerse yourself in the community and
personal connections and your inventive ideas will eventually do the
rest.
