JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
COLORADO SPRINGS PIONEERS MUSEUM
MUSEUM DATABASE MANAGER
SALARY RANGE: $13.83 to $15.72
JOB DUTIES: Responsible for maintaining the Museum's in-house computerized
collections management database as well as the innovative online database
functions. Specific duties include processing new accessions, generating
in-loan and out-loan documentation, producing deeds of gift and other
paperwork, updating and maintaining the Web database, and linking and
embedding digital images with appropriate collection records.
NOTE: This is a half-time position (twenty hours per week). Specific hours
and schedule to be determined.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent with specialized
training in database operations. Three years of responsible clerical or
related experience.
DESIRABLE QUALIFIATIONS: Experience or training with FileMaker Pro database
software. College degree or course work in history, anthropology, art
history or related field. Familiarity and background in museum
registration and collections management practices. Basic knowledge of
computers including word processing, digital imaging, and HTML. Ability to
enter alpha/numeric data from a wide variety of source documents into
computer files at a speed appropriate for successful job completion. Type
40 wpm.
