Ann,

We have recently finished a grant where we created a web site
called Texas Tides. One portion of this web site is geared for
fourth and seventh grade Texas history students. Through the
Texas Tides project five different cultural heritage institutions
worked together to create a teaching resource. We provide lesson
plans that utilize imaged museum objects and archival material.
Our lesson plans incorporate Texas Education standards. I am not
sure if this material will provide you any help or some of the
examples you are looking for, but you are certainly welcome to use
it for educational purposes.

I would be interested in the responses you receive as a result of
your posting.  We also have started giving teacher workshops;
specifically our workshops focus on using the Tides Site and
teaching Information Literacy to students and teachers.

Good Luck,

Rachel Galan
