Farar,

I know of compositions that were done for particular buildings. The
Philips Pavilion at the Brussels Worlds Fair in 1958 comes to mind
(Varese & Xenakis). It was an exhibition building though, not a
museum. Same for the Pepsi Pavilion in the Osaka Worlds Fair in 1970
(Tudor). I seem to remember a composition done for a museum but I'll
have to do a little digging to come up with it.
