If you want to deaccession to other museums to keep your objects in the
public domain and are an AAM Institutional member (or would be), don't
forget the AAM Collections Exchange Center, on aam-us.org. It's free and a
great place to deaccession to other museums (or to find new treasures). You
can even get a whale (I'm not kidding!).
