You may want to contact someone at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation
about that. I remember reading an article about concerns with some of the
original glass extant in some of the structures there and the impact the
firing of cannon has on it. I would direct you to the particular article
but the title has escaped me right now.
Also, I do know of an incident that occurred here in Maryland of a
reenactment being held on the main street of a small historic town. The
scenario included the firing of cannon in the street, the town's buildings
are built on hillsides that run along the main street, and when the cannon
was fired many of the windows along the street shattered.
