Hi Michael,
Try the following:  "What's What A Visual Glossary of the Physical World"
by David Fisher and Reginald Bragonier Jr., published by Hammond
Incorporated, Maplewood, New Jersey, c. 1981.  It has photos of a place
setting and a dessert setting with all dishes and utensils named.  It is
also a great reference for lots of other things.  It has photos of common
everyday items with all of their parts named properly.  We use it all the
time for cataloging.
