Our policy is to give staff one free class per year, to use for themselves
or a member of their immediate family on virtually any class (not counting
glassblowing, because the overhead is just too high to allow free passes),
but they cannot displace a paying student. So if there is a waiting list
for the camp session, the staff kid gets bumped. Generally we have to wait
until the last moment to officially register for the class to ensure there
is no waiting list. But the good news is, it's free.

Subject: Re: summer camp staffing
Good Afternoon Jamilyn,
We charge staff kids at the same rate we charge members.
I hope this helps,
Wesley
Thank you for all those who replied to my last summer camp question, as
usual you've given me a lot to think about.
My new question: What discount if any, do you give to museum staff
members who put their kids in summer camp? Is there a different rate or
discount for those staffing the camps who want to enroll their kids in the
camps they are teaching?
I know these are delicate issues so I appreciate you sharing and you are
welcome to contact me on or off list.
Many thanks,
Jamilyn
