We do not offer donors the option of selecting the collection they wish their piece to be in.  We determine this ourselves.  The letter acknowledging the gift and the Deed of Gift both state the collection we have determined is best for the item donated.  Donors of props and items used for educational purposes get the same perks as donors of items accessioned to the permanent collection.  

Props and items intended for the use of the Education Department are not assigned accession numbers, are not stored in the secure collection storage areas, and are not recorded in the collections management database.
