Okay, I'm coming in late but did anyone mention Buffy the Vampire Slayer? There
have been several episodes that dealt with things being stolen out of museums.
You'd think they'd get better security in Sunnydale. :)

And Susan Cooper's "The Dark Is Rising" Series has two books that have museums
in them. In the prequel, a group of kids find an old goblet and donate it to a
museum. In the 3rd one, that goblet is stolen and they have to get it back.
