The deadline for early-bird registration is Friday, Oct. 17.

This year's VRD Conference, "Integrating the Virtual Reference Experience:
Theory and Practice," will be held November 17 and 18 at the Hyatt Regency
Riverwalk Hotel in San Antonio, Texas. See the great conference
programming for 2003 at our web site http://www.vrd2003.org.

The conference will feature more than 50 programs dealing with planning,
implementing, managing, and marketing virtual reference programs. The
preconference, on Sunday, November 16, will feature Chuck McClure, Dave
Lankes, Joe Janes, and Buff Hirko on "Management Strategies for Digital
Reference Services: Practical Approaches. To wrap things up, Christie
Koontz, director of the GeoLib Program at Florida State University, will
present a half day post-conference, titled "Marketing Digital and Other
Reference Services: First Stop, Not Last Resort!" on Wednesday, November
19.
