one thing we do here when we do not wish to have the orig. cardboard ancient
old box  being hit by light is  sneak I out of the  stash in the office
here... ( part of my office is kept at extremely low illumination as I like
it that way!)  and  scan it... then we can  Photoshop repair the package
visual damage, color print it and wrap the printed image around a box for
use in the display.....

another use of this same process is a neat and perhaps scarce book with a
colorful dustjacket, especially some of our early children's science books,
can  have the dust jacket copied and wrap it around a junk book to five it a
book like appearance in the display.
