ASSISTANT MANAGER-RETAIL SALES AT ROCKEFELLER CENTER, NYC


The Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the world's finest museums, seeks an Assistant Manager for Retail Sales at the Rockefeller Center site, in the heart of New York City.  The major responsibilities for the Assistant Manager are to provide excellent customer service on the selling floor that will exceed the customer's expectations.  The Assistant Manager will participate in zone coverage of the selling floor, plan and implement schedules, and achieve sales goals.  The Assistant Manager will perform supervisory functions at the register, direct shop and stock maintenance, and participate in loss prevention efforts.  The Assistant Manager will control and monitor expenses, payroll, and the opening and closing functions of the store.  The ideal candidate must have 2 to 3 years supervisory experience in Retail Sales, and the ability to supervise, train, motivate staff, and appraise job performance.
