Bubbles
We have completed many Bubble and Water exhibits for several Children’s
Museums around the country. There is one main area of concern. “Bubble
Juice” as you well know is concentrated soap in it’s simplest form. When
the bubble juice (Soap) sits on something for a while it starts to eat
at it or brake it down (decompose).  I have seen it eat epoxy flooring
that was not cleaned daily and when it gets under the drain type rubber
flooring, it starts to grow things that they do not have names for yet.
Be very cautious and know that if you do not have or design for an
access flooring system (Mini Bathtub/Pool flooring system) that you can
wash down daily with water and liquid fabric softener, then you are
asking for long term problems. We therefor design special raised or
sunken drain able flooring systems at all water and especially bubble
rooms. This way it can be washed down daily and once every three to
floor months the removable grating is opened and some hand washing might
be in line. The soap will eat anything if left unchecked.
