The Colorado/Wyoming Association of Museum produced a 30 sec. "Brain on TV" ad that encouraged family visitation to Museums in general. We received a warm reception from most Wyoming stations, and some of the smaller Denver stations, such as the FOX affiliate. The PSA wasn't really picked up by the major networks in the large Metro-Denver area though.

We had a grant to fund this project, and we were able to create the video and produce/mail tapes to over 35 stations for about $5,500.

Sadly, we didn't have any way to track our success building new audiences. If you were to implement a video PSA I would try to come up with a system to evaluate it's performance.
