Might a solution be to post a sign (or add to one for visitors on the
location of services and amentities) that the museum has a special private
space for nursing mothers? Couldn't staff then be asked to inform mothers
with babies that this space exists, perhaps at the ticket or check-room
area? Set aside a space or make one. If some mothers can't or won't
use it, probably others will.
