Hello All,

We are looking for a museum, organization or person to build a salt marsh
at our Education Center. The person would do the following:

I - Advise on the proper types of experimental equipment needed to conduct
scientific tests (appropriate for high school students) to better
understand the following concepts:
1) The interrelationship between primary and secondary production in
cordgrass/eelgrass communities
2) To discover methods to reverse the impacts humans have made on
cordgrass/eelgrass communities

II -Construct an indoor salt marsh exhibit, or multiple exhibits which
thirty high school students can view simultaneously. The exhibit should:
1) show the layers of a salt marsh
2) be able to simulate a tidal ebb and flow.
3) Contain eelgrass, fish and crabs, cordgrass

III -Construct a cordgrass research area capable of growing cordgrass in an
environment with a control and two variables

IV -Construct an eelgrass research area capable of growing cordgrass in an
environment with a control and two variables

Note: the NYPNYH Ed Center will provide the materials for construction

If you happen to know someone who might be interested, please give them my
information. Thank you!!

Sincerely,
Shirley Brown
