You might find it interesting to read the article "Why are Some Science
Museum Exhibits More Interesting Than Others?" by Jay Rounds in Curator
43/3 (July 2000).  His answer?  The poor exhibits sacrifice generality and
simplicity on the altar of excessive accuracy.  This is not a call for
slipshod work.  But being one year off in a mood-setting quote is hardly an
issue for concern.
