Subject: Museum renovation or rebuilding - need information
To my museum colleagues:
I would like to hear from anyone who has worked in a museum, or knows
of a museum, where the museum essentially closed its doors to the
public, the staff and the collections for a complete renovation or
rebuilding of the museum. I am interested in discussing how much of
the staff was retained during the building phase, how jobs changed, what
challenges were faced, etc. Please contact me off list if you prefer.
