Please remember that the purpose of this list is to discuss MUSEUM-related
issues, not a political discussion group. It is entirely appropriate to
discuss the impact of the war (or any war) on artifacts and documents. It is
also entirely appropriate to discuss measures that can be taken to prevent
the theft and destruction of cultural artifacts. It is NOT appropriate to
discuss who was responsible (or not responsible) for particular military
and/or political actions/inactions.

We need to move on from this topic, as (obviously) attacks are getting
personal and the discussion has moved far afield from ideas like how to make
collectors/museums aware of artifacts taken.

Please keep the postings civil and respect the diversity of opinions and
views that are represented by the membership of this listserv.
