Dear Lisa,

We partnered with a publishing company. They supply authors, we supply the
organization for book signings and together we have a Museum program, which
for the most part, is popular (depending on book and author) and sales
event/promotion.

We try to have one every month and coordinate it with the publishing company
to complement our changing exhibitions. It costs the Museum no money as long
as we provide sales (at the signings and in our retail store).

It works out nicely.

Good luck.

Subject: Museum shop people

Are there any museum shop people out there who can share their policies with
me - particularly those museums with bookstores and how you handle authors
who want to have book signings in your museum - what is their obligation,
your costs, etc...

Thanks!
